We were in town for a wedding. Evanston proved a great location for walking the campus and for catching the train downtown ( a first for us ). Whole Foods around the corner. Issues with ac and room cleaning but staff very responsive. Wedding event was very well done. In spite of average rating we would stay again.
...that you'll be able to fall asleep even with the airconditioning on. (Other reviewers' comments about the A/C are no joke : the machines are either ON or OFF and make a lot of noise). Otherwise, the service is friendly and the rooms are clean. Decent value.
Although it appears this place has been recently renovated, the air condition units are old. This means jet engine like noise each time the unit turns on. I tried switching rooms to no avail. Had to sleep with unit off and bear the heat. Stay somewhere else if you can't sleep with noise. Other than that, hotel fine.

Stayed here for conference date of May 16-20th.
It appears to be a pleasant older hotel with nice conference facilities on 2nd and 9th floor. However the elevators were extremely slow for a hotel this size. There were only two elevator for 7 floors of rooms!and seemed we were waiting all the time!

Stayed at the Hilton Orrington while attending a conference there is past weekend (19 May). The staff service levels are very good, particularly the efficient front desk and housekeeping.
