I spent 2 nights here while travelling on business. Great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops in downtown Evanston. Rooms are showing a bit of wear but they were very clean and the property is quiet. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey but they offer an A 'la carte option which is a nice alternative. More

The hotel skips the frills of pseudo luxury to provide comfort, convenience, and value. The room was clean and well-equipped and the bed comfortable (though I doubt the gimmicky dial had much to do with it). Breakfast was quick, tasty and reasonably priced. I was so pleased to find how near the hotel was to campus, and that it has a running shuttle that takes you anywhere you need to go at Northwestern University. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. From the time we checked in to the late check-out we were granted, everyone was efficient and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable (the refrigerator and microwave were nice touches), although queen beds (instead of doubles) would have been nice. While the front desk staff weren't especially friendly and seemed sort of put out by small requests (late check out, more towels), the room was clean, exceptionally quiet, even on a busy weekend. Beds are comfy and breakfast was good. Great location: near train to city, downtown, movie theaters, etc. Close to lake as well. More
