My family and I took a vacation to Chicago and stayed at the Countryside Holiday Inn. We were greeted in a courteous matter by the front desk. We were just minutes away from grocery, gas, food, shopping, etc. This hotel is just minutes away (except for Chicago traffic--WHEW!!!!) from many Chicago attractions that we visited---Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, Lego Discovery... more

This hotel met all our criteria... where to go in Chicago on a cousins get-away where the kids could swim and we still get into the city. This is an older Holiday Inn but other than the incredibly slow and confused elevator (back building and on the left) and hallway decor, the hotel does not seem dated. In fact, a... more

My husband and I stayed here for one night in June 2009. We got married there in 2008 and were using our complimentary anniversary stay. We stayed in an executive suite in the "west wing" that had a king bed, pull out sofa, two lounge chairs, a desk, and armoire with TV. This room normally has a rate of $180.... more

Our staff was very friendly. Very knowledgable of the surrounding area and best ways to get around quickly. Parking was free, and the lot was nice and well lit. The room was clean (tiny bit of mold in corner of tub...nothing terrible). We very much enjoyed our stay. The walls were thin, so we could hear people very clearly in... more

This hotel filled the need when our first choice couldn't accommodate us due to a power failure. The room was spacious and clean. The wifi worked great. Free breakfast for two (BUT not for the kids) Although we stayed 2 nights they activated out electronic key for only one night. The front desk fixed it but expressed no regret. The... more

Good Afternoon Travellingdude, Thank-you for taking the time to leave a review for the William Tell-Holiday Inn. We appreciate any and all feedback. I am glad to see that you were satisfied with your stay. I apologize that you felt the front desk was not sympathetic to the situation. We typically don't have that issue, it could have been a...

I needed a hotel at the last minute with shuttle service to/from Midway Airport. We were picked up on time and delivered to the hotel. Rooms were great - clean. The front desk was kind enough to have the shuttle take us to the local train station so we could spend the day in downtown Chicago and they picked us... more

My husband and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend while we visited my sister and enjoyed Chicago. The hotel was fine - just kind of standard. The room was on the small side and the shower made their weird screeching noise on occasion, but the bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. What more do... more

Little pricy, but it came highly recommended from a friend who frequently stays here when she is home visiting family. The room was nicely decorated. You could tell it was probably and older hotel that had been renovated at some point. We had a blast in the holidome at the pool, hot tub, game room, and fitness room. There was... more

Well, I was hoping for a nice stay after a long flight, But that did not happen. It started with noticing the "sticky" floors and weird smells. Ever have that feeling the a big roach is about to crawl on you. That is this place. I walked around the room with my shoes off trying to relax. I was wearing... more
