It's right next to the House of Blues, Marina Place (remember from The Bob Newhart Show?), Smith and Wollensky, the river. If you walked off the street you wouldn't stay here because it's so fancy you'd be sure you couldn't afford it. But it's not outrageous. Better than that--my cheap company let me stay here. There's a little business center... More

Staff were friendly though we had limited contact with them. Bed was divinely comfortable. Had a decent view from the 9th floor, of course Marina City is front and centre. Excellent location, we walked to the Loop, Mag Mile, nearby restaurants, etc. and transit options are nearby as well. As other reviews mention, TV volume is very loud when it's... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel. We are very pleased with the way our staff has really taken customer service into their own hands. They continue to get great feedback, so we are glad to hear that you had a good encounter with them. Our apologies about the water glasses and TV volume, we will look... More

Wish they had staff out front all the time ...every time I went out someone was asking me for money. One of my fellow travelers got a big blob of white shoe shine spray on his black shoes by a man while he was trying to pay his taxi fare. It is too bad because it is a pretty hotel,... More

Good morning, and thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel and complimenting out bar, staff, and location. I am a little bit confused about who was asking for money, and who was spraying shoe shine spray on your friends shoes. Would you mind contacting the hotel at reservations@hotelsaxchicago.com so that we can further discuss what was happening... More

Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. When we arrived we found that our reservation made on Hotwire was only for a 1 bed room. As much as I like my friend, we really wanted 2 beds and the front desk person went above and beyond to accommodate us. Room was a bit small but comfortable and well appointed. The... More

Just spent the weekend in Chicago with my other half and stayed a couple of nights at the Sax hotel on Dearborn Street just on the Northshore. The hotel is about a $30 taxi ride from Chicago Midway Airport and is in a great location for the down town area - very near the banks of the Chicago River, many... More

I stayed here with my husband for a quick weekend getaway in September 2010. We got a GREAT deal through Priceline on the room. The rooms are fairly small, and a little dark, but very trendy. The location is great, as you are right by the river, the House of Blues (who has a FABULOUS Sunday Gospel Brunch), and within... More

O.K. hotel , Excellent location very helpful and friendly staff . Thin walls , good beds very average 2.5-3 star at best. We paid $109.00 per night ,I would not have wanted to spend more on this hotel.

Loved it here. Stayed in late April 2012. Location is great. Staff was friendly and quick device if we needed anything. Felt safe and clean. The beds were nice. Had a king room. Stayed on the 10th floor and had a "water view" they tell u that the water view isn't very special and they're right. It was nice to... More

This hotel we got on Priceline for a very reasonable price. Great hotel, here are my pros and cons: Pros: VERY friendly and helpful staff, food on site, bars and a bowling alley on site Cons: EXPENSIVE parking and not being able to use the luggage carrier without a bellhop.
