By the time I booked my trip, the conference hotel was already full -- and am I ever glad! The Majestic is beautiful. It's located in a tree-lined residential neighborhood a five-minute walk from Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. The neighborhood is very safe; I walked to bars and restaurants after midnight and felt perfectly safe. The staff were friendly... More

We arrived on Nov 20th, to warm and friendly greetings. Staff was very helpful in getting our luggage to the room (the Sunroom Suite). The room was quite large, the "sunroom" sitting area had a nice view, and the tiny kitchen was sufficient for our needs for four nights. The continental breakfast was adequate, the coffee quite good. It was... More

Friends and I stayed here a weekend this fall. It is within walking distance of Halstead and very close to Lake Michigan. The room was quite large with a separate seating area from the two beds. It had a microwave and a mini fridge but no coffee maker. The lack of a coffee maker wasn't a big deal because there... More

The only reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is that it is like the home of an elderly lady who has seen better days. Radiators and wall space heaters, worn carpets. BUT great location, a feel of faded elegance, linens are great, beds comfortable, service excellent, quiet location on the north side where it is hard to... More

The hotel is perfectly located in the Lakeview neighborhood (Boystown) but with easy transportation to downtown. A boutique hotel, it doesn't offer the same kind of amenities as a big chain but comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff made it a joy. More

We stayed at the Majestic Hotel to celebrate our mini-honeymoon before our big trip next year. We were looking for a small boutique hotel that we would look forward to returning to in the future. We found the Majestic through reviews online and were very satisfied with the price we found on their website. The hotel is about four blocks... More

The Majectic is an older building which has been converted to a boutique hotel. While some other reviews said is was not up to standards, I totally disagree. When we checked in I asked about an upgrade to a sunroom suite and sure enough one was available for just $20 dollars more. It was more than worth it as we... More

Majestic is an old style hotel if that is to your liking, pleasant, classy, on a relatively quiet tree lined street, yet readily accessible to the north/south Lakeshore Drive. We had a suite type room, which was large and spacious, well appreciated for a four night stay. Continental breakfast was adequate if ordinary. Our stay was trouble-free, service was efficient... The lobby has charm and the staff are pleasant and helpful. My room, however, fell just short of being yucky and gross. I'll walk you through it. Open the door. There's no extra night-bolt security latch, by the way. The room opens into a long and dimly lit narrow hallway that wastes what minimal space there already is. At the... More

I stayed at the Majestic Hotel for the first week of September 2010. Given that it has taken me twelve months to finally write a review it is entirely possible that my review may be outdated and my comments no longer applicable. I chose the Majestic for a number of reasons. First, I like to stay in accommodation that is... More
