2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

We were booked into the Raffaello for work, and the rates looked quite high, but the web site looked pretty nice. Upon arriving, we found that we had to wait in the tiny lobby while the staff seemed more interested in surfing the internet than in checking us in. We were told we were "upgraded" but, upon seeing the rooms,... More

My wife & I spent three nights here in June and as others have noted, as good as it is, it could, and should, be better. The location, five minute walk to Oak Beach or Watertower Place, is hard to beat. But the tiny lobby is immediately cramped when several guests are trying to check-in all at once. It's also... More

So rumor has it the Rolling Stones stayed here 30 years ago --- seems like the lobby and common areas have not been updated since. Room is small but recently renovated and bathroom is clean and modern. This would not be my first or second choice but will do in a pinch!

This hotel has the basics but not the details. The location, architecture, surroundings, fixings and accommodation are all really Hugh end...but the details aren't up to scratch. At this price tag you expect not to have to queue for over half an hour to check in, you expect not to be charged ten extra dollars for the wifi (that doesn't... More

We spent one night during the Memorial Day weekend at this hotel. We were there for a wedding two blocks away. This is an old apartment building that has been converted to a boutique hotel. The room we stayed in, a deluxe suite, had been converted from a one bedroom apartment. The view from our 15th floor room was of... More

Read no further, The Raffaello Hotel is perfect! I booked this online after reading the many reviews on here. I wasn't disappointed. From the moment we pulled up in front the valet took care of everything. He was more than accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived early so he took our luggage and stored it for us... Great location! Next to john hancock tower with its signature room on 96th floor. Also near water tower place with good shopping and very good food court.best of all 2 blocks from the beach. Very friendly atmosphere, enjoyable rooftop bar - 18th floor. Only drawback: wifi only free in lobby. $ 10 a day in room.

Stayed one night for a wedding and found it very comfortable, clean, roomy. Nicely surprised by the microwave and mini frig. Easy walk to shopping, lake. Loved the donut bar downstairs in the am. Will definitely stay there next visit.

I stumbled upon this boutique hotel while planning a business trip. it's a beautifully renovated "vintage" property with lovely rooms and particularly exceptional service. Around the corner from Water Tower, you can't find a more central location. While I didn't have time to explore the bar or restaurant, this could easily become my "go-to" place. There was not a single... More

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for a business conference in Chicago. The location is great, a little out of the bustle so it is quiet, but within a few minutes you can be anywhere that you need to be. Rooms were clean and well laid out, with a mini-fridge, coffee machine and even a shoe shiner in the... More
