Fabulous Hotel for the money. Beautiful views of the Chicago River. Friendly staff and excellent doorman who helped with luggage and hailing a cab. On site parking. Rooms were updated, clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice bed linens and choices of pillows.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view was stunning, the service friendly, my room was what you'd expect for this grade, and the restaurant dinners were outstanding thanks to a 5 star chef, who didn't want to give me his name.
On the down side, you cannot open windows --I can see why -- it's easy to fall...

We spent a little extra to get a room with a corner view. It was beautiful at night to lay in bed and see the lights. The room was decorated okay and was nice. It will probably need a makeover before to terrible long. The room was a great size as well. The heater in the room would kick on...

Very reasonable rates for downtown Chicago. Parking is a little out of the way. Shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Great lobby bar with fantastic view.

While attending our family reunion which was in Gary Indiana, we decided to stay in Chicago at the Holiday Inn so we would be able to enjoy all the "happenings" downtown. The hotel offered a breakfast daily and the Mart Plaza was like be in the center of everything! We could shop in stores in the plaza, visit different resturants...

A nicely remodeled Holiday Inn--lobby area is modern and welcoming. Checkin was quick and friendly. I received an upgrade to a corner suite with huge windows and a city/river view.
Would have given 5 stars, but a few missing details in room: one of the phones didn't work, bathtub drain busted, and heater is very loud.
