I disliked the Sofitel so much we changed our week stay to the Grand Hyatt after the first night. We checked into our suite and was blasted by the smell of body odor immediately. Clean, modern rooms are just the right size - the location is amazing for shopping and walks to the lake. The restaurant off the lobby is fantastic, expensive but nice. Bar off lobby is a great hotel bar. more

Excellent service! Clean and spacious rooms with a great view of downtown Chicago. Location is excellent for exploring the main sights and the Golden Mile. Great concierge service. Pricey though... Don't valet if you don't need to. more

First and foremost, the main reason we could stay here was the price we got. We paid $125 for the night, on the 28th floor. I could not believe how inexpensive this was. Just spent the weekend at the Sofitel. In for a family function. Great rooms service. Costs of both food and room were very reasonable. Every staff member I came across put service first. Room quality was top notch and TVs are outrageously big. A definite must if you will be in Downtown Chicago. more
