The Wyndham Blake was a real find. We found the room very comfortable. It was spacious and light, much nicer than we expected. Got a special online and was happy to pay less than $150 a night to be downtown. Walking distance to lake and all the activities there. My husband stayed here when it was the Blake and we stayed together recently on a trip back to Chicago; the room was lovely with a great view of the library. From the moment we arrived the entire staff made us feel totally welcome. The daytime doorman recommended a great diner called ELEVEN St. Diner and it was great. This is a smaller hotel in a perfect location for walking tours of the city, access to the Art Institute, Millennium Park, and river sightseeing cruises. The staff is friendly and helpful.
