Stayed one night at this small lodge while traveling through this area. This place is very clean and pleasant. The owner was very helpful with details of the area and reccommendation for dinner and breakfast. Both which were excellent choices. The rooms are fine in the summer if it's not too hot outside, as there's no AC. Bed was comfy, place was neat and tidy. The owner is very watchful of everything guests do here--overly so. A bit OCD. The Lift Tower Lodge is afforable, clean and 2 minutes to the lift at Bald Mtn. The staff beyond helpful with everything especially the shortcut for the drive back to LA.
