This is by far one of the best resorts we have ever been to. We stayed in the lodge..which was private and tranquil. The beach was private...the cookies at night are a nice touch. Every person there greeeted us by name every time they saw us. The adults only pool is great as is the main beach area though much... More

This is one of the most pleasant and comfortable places I have ever been to. It may be good for children, but for us the pool reserved for the over 18's was an even more welcome feature. Also the room - or suite, or apartment - had a very nice view over the ocean and the pool, with a generous... More

This resort is one of the East coast's best kept secret. Sandy beaches, and some of the best landscapes north of Floidal Sea Island is the place to escape with your family and reconnect. With gobs of activities for the kids, (horseback riding, skeet shooting, deep sea fishing, cruising, kayaking, etc.) Sea Island blends quality, relaxation, value and tradition in... More

We stayed here with our extended family (3 generations) in 5 bedroom cottage and had amazing time. The combination of the privacy of the cottage w/ private pool and the ability to use all the resort facilities was great. We've travelled all over the world and would come back to Sea Island (& this cottage) in a heartbeat. Though Sea... More

Hands down the best resort for families. Wonderful children's programs and just a great place to vacation. Be prepared for the preppy clientele but everyone is warm and welcoming. More

Sea Island is in line with the many great American resorts. It has impecable service from a cadre of staff. The facilities are superlative and the location is incredible. If you have the bucks to hang at a place like this, there is something for everyone and everyone will enjoy themselves. That being said, although the food preparation was excellent,... More

Sea Island is a great place for families that do not want to compromise on luxury even though they are traveling with their kids. There are a million activities for tweens- from golf clinics, their famouse shooting school, bicycles to ride around the island and more. With kids, we were directed to stay at the Beach Club, and it was... More

This is the most amazing place I've ever stayed. The room was beautiful, the service was impeccable, the food was delicious--everything was perfect. My husband loved the golf. The spa was wonderful and luxurious, although SUPER expensive and not necessarily so much better than any other nice resort spa. We can't wait to go back next year. More

My family (my wife and I, my parents and my wife's mother who are in their early 60s, and my wife's grandmother (mid 80's)) went to Sea Island Resort for 6 days for Christmas 2007. I know it sounds like a motley crew of all ages but the six of us had a great time. Some of us have been... More

Although extremely expensive, Sea Island boasts with southern charm. We had a great time playing the Seaside links three days in a row. It truly is a lovely and challenging course. However, the food was good but not excellent and the service was sometimes overbearing. More
