Me and my Family came there and it was a mess. The campground was so nasty even the bath rooms was so nasty, I went and took a shower and there was mud everywhere! more

Just returned from a three night camping trip at the Jekyll Island Campground. This is my second stay in two years. There is not another campground on Jekyll Island and I do believe the owners take full advantage of the situation. The campground was very full this weekend. The bathhouses were cleaned daily, but should have been cleaned twice a... more

We love it! We come here just about every summer with two to four of our grandkids ages 5 to 13. Safe place for kids to roam around. Main attraction for us is the bike trails, water park and of course the beach. Lots of nature and wildlife to observe. The sites are not large but I feel quite adequate.... more

This is an older campground and was not up to the quality of a good state park. That being said, the bath houses were very clean and well maintained. The location is excellent. The campground was loaded with families but other than an occassional child hollering at another kid everyone was very well behaved and very friendly. There were a... more

The most fun our family has had in a while. I dont know why people had all the bad comments I thought it was a great place to stay. The campground was clean and the bath houses were clean also. They seemed to clean the bath houses often. It was very quiet, Theres a laundry room, a little kitchen area that... more

I was a little afraid after reading the reviews on here. The campground spots are tight and close together - but that is the way it is. We did not feel cramped and we still had plenty of room for our truck, pop-up, and room for the kids to play. They made sure everyone was quiet after 10pm. We had... more

This is one of the most cramped and close quarters campgrounds I have ever been to,and I've been to alot. Also some of the worst bath houses I have ever seen. I have seen better bathroom facilities at cheap hostels in Nicaragua, seriously. There was no toilet paper and there were roaches, dirt, leaves, and cigarette butts in the showers.... more

Beautiful place. A lot of trees. Relaxing. Close to the Pier. Great fishing. But the Bathhouse need to be remodeled. We have a pop-up camper so we had to use the facilities. Nasty/Dirty. We have been in different campground, but this one is the worst bathhouse ever. If you do not need to use the bathhouse, this campground is really... more

Do not be put off by the entrance to the campground. It is old and could use an upgrade, but is very family friendly, and very quiet. A little tricky with a big camper, we actually hit the top of our big fifth wheel on one of the oaks and a stop sign, making too sharp a turn, but if... more
