Went for a night away just with the hubbie. Had a fabulous stay at the Inn at Folkston. Janis was wonderful and can make a wonderful breakfast. We stayed in The lighthouse room on our visit. The room was charming and very comfortable. It has its an entrance as well as a screened in porch. We were able to sit... More

We spent 2 nights here while we visited Okefenokee. The Inn is charming and the Funnel (railroad themed) room where we stayed was roomy and comfortable. Janis was very accommodating to my gluten-intolerance, using my bread for toast with eggs one day and GF french toast the next. (She would have bought gluten-free bread, but I told her to use... We stopped here on our drive north from Florida, and to check out Okefenokee. We had booked two nights here, had a calm, quiet first night and a decent breakfast (omelet, toast, fruit, and bacon). We had generally pleasant interactions with the owner, who seems to know the area well, and gave us good advice about meals and boating tours... More

My husband and I spent three nights in the English Garden Room and loved it. The room is gigantic with a king bed, sitting area, jacuzzi tub for two, shower, etc. and spotlessly clean. We could hear the popular trains from a distance - a soothing sound. The den and large porch are comfortable areas in which to relax. The... More

My wife and I stayed in the Lighthouse Room for 2 nights in March 2012. Even though Janis was still recovering from a bad bout of ill health she made us feel so welcome. A lovely lady. The room itself was spacious, clean with a small verandah containing some easy sofas / chairs enclosed by mesh leading off. We sat... More

This was our second stay at the Inn at Folkston. (We previously stayed in 2007.) We reserved the Family Room - plenty of space for 3 adults & one preschooler. (We brought an inflatable bed for our son to sleep on the floor.) Janis is a fun and helpful host. We felt completely at home. We enjoyed our breakfasts including... More

Janis and Bill are great hosts. Very kind. Very helpful. The Inn is beautiful, clean, beds are very comfortable, overall I would say, perfect. I warn you, Janis will fix you a delicious breakfast. Eggs Benedict on our first morning, blueberry pancakes on our second. Not low calorie, but irresistible. The inn is seven miles from the Okefenokee Swamp. We... More

Being railroad fans we chose to stay here because of the proximity to the 'Folkston Funnel' railroad viewing facility. The hospitality was excellent as well as the breakfast which, if you manage to eat it all, will keep you going for the rest of the day! The current owner is obviously a rail fan too because the house has a... More

We found the Inn at Folkston from TripAdvisor.com, while looking for places to stay while visiting the Okefenokee NWA. We decided to stay at this Inn due to its high ratings. We found the high ratings were very well-deserved. The Inn is a beautiful bungalow house with four guest rooms and beautiful and yet homey decor. Each room is differently... More
