We had traveled to Virginia beach from Richmond,to see a hockey game. After the game we decided to stay the night and drive home in the am. We decided on Econo Lodge because we had been to one before (in richmond) and found it to be simple, yet clean and thats all we needed for the night.
The first thing that had us concerned was when we went into the office to get a room, they told us it would be 75 dollars. Okay, that was too much money for us that night, and we told them thank you, but no thanks. The man behind the counter said 'Is that too much? Well, how much do you have?' COME ON!! I have never been asked that in a hotel before. He haggled the price and my friend and I were kind of laughing at this point, but I felt uncomfortable by his question.
The ROOM.....I think the office clerk must have put us in the F class room. Ground floor, disgusting smelling pillows, and it seemed like they had thrown a mini fridge and microwave in the room as an after thought.....they...
