I don't like you have an average then you go to very good. This place is good! Not very good but above average for sure. We visited in November 2010 for my nephew's wedding. We stayed 3 or 4 nights and it was clean, the owners were pleasant, the location was terrific right on ocean drive and across the street... More

Stumbled upon Vero beach, what a lovely place with some fantastic resturant and boutiques! Originally tried getting a room at the Driftwood Inn but was fully booked as it was bank holiday weekend, busy! Anyway we managed to get a room at the Islnder Inn, basic rooms but cheap rates so couldnt expect much more. Rooms were country style decorated... More

Having spent two weeks on the road working in Florida, my husband and I were headed back north to go home and found ourselves in Vero Beach on Thanksgiving Day. We thought it would be nice to hole up there for a few days and rest before heading home. After being turned down at most places on the strip, we... More

Just back from a too-short stay at the Islander Inn. Mary Jane and Doug are the perfect hosts. While this is an older inn, the rooms are well maintained and attractive. The morning coffee is a nice touch and was certainly enjoyed. Everything is within walking distance. We had Sunday brunch at the Lemon Tree a few doors down -... More

Went with girls friends for a reunion. Got adjoining rooms, one with a small kitchen, which was great to have. The other had a small refridge and microwave oven. Large rooms, Walk to the beach...just across the road. Has a pool. Older privately run motel. Cute decor but tired. The bedspread had rips in it. The a/c had a hard... More

I'm a 30 year old female who was there with my boyfriend April 17/18 for a wedding in Vero. This hotel had one of the best rates on the beach. It is not directly on the beach, but is directly across the street from the beach. The exterior of the hotel is not spectacular, but dont be deterred, the room... More

Early in March 2010 I discovered that I needed to make a trip for family business to Vero Beach. It had been over 20 years since I had been to Vero. I quickly researched motels in Vero and based upon TripAdvisor reviews I selected the Islander Inn. I took my daughter and granddaughter with me and booked 2 rooms for... More

Doug and Mary Jane, the resident managers at The Islander Inn, work very hard to make your visit pleasant. Across the street from the ocean, The Islander is a throw back to family run, quaint and clean local hotel/motel. The bathrooms are newly renovated, our room, #21, has a nice kitchen w/ a cooking stove (I made pancakes this morning),... More
