Atlantic Bay Resort is nestled in Tavernier, the loveliest part of Key Largo and the diving capital of the world. We are conveniently located 1-1/2 hours south of Miami, and 2 hours north of Key West, the southernmost tip of the continental USA. The little jewel we call Atlantic Bay is a small resort that faces the Gulf of Mexico's Florida Bay. It is located on three tropical landscaped acres with 500 feet of waterfront.
We have stayed here a few different times and have generally loved it. Checkin was good, and they let me have the keys to my sister's room, since she would be arriving in the middle of the night (there are not ppl there all night). We really like the little tiki cottages. I like that you can park right outside your door, we roadtrip from Minnesota, so it's nice to have the car handy when you have SO much stuff in it. The one tiki cottage that is set further back, has a couple of big steps to get in the room, my sister stayed in that one and I would have not done well with that steep of a step, I hope they will consider fixing that. If you have any mobility issues, there cottages are not a good choice. The toilets are very very low to the ground, I bring a seat riser with and the beds are very high, they are awkward to get in. (If they are listening, I hope they will address these 2 things!) Beds are also very uncomfortable and hard. Otherwise, the cottages are cute and clean, have a full fridge and freezer, which is great and gets good use! Also love the tiki huts and grills on the beach! The beach is very close, and although not good for swimming, has a beautiful view, especially at sunrise and sunset. Free use of kayaks and paddle boards is also great. We like the proximity of everything in the resort and the pool is kept SO warm, it is luxurious!! Please consider keeping the pool open longer in the evening, it is a bummer to get out so early.…

This was a very beautiful place to stay! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were always very clean. The resort is right next to the beach which makes it the perfect place to relax and just read a good book. They also have a great swimming pool and kayaks and paddle boards to enjoy. Another awesome thing about this resort is that there is a delicious key lime pie place called the blonde giraffe that is only 2 minutes away! I totally recommend this resort for your next stay in Key Largo!!

Absolutely love this place. Cute, quaint and right on the water. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are impeccably clean. There are chairs and tables all over the property with great views. If you're looking for a place to relax and decompress, this is it!

If you are looking for an excellent Keys experience for the family with the boat, then this is a place for you. The most beautiful sunsets at the Keys you can see from the several lounging areas facing the water/horizon are on the property. The lagoon allows for relaxing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fish and crab watching from the shore. Fishing on dock and from your boat from sunrise to sunset, pool is perfectly situated and clean. The premises are very well kept, the rooms are clean and staff is excellent. This quiet resort is perfectly situated near the best sandbars, restaurants and water channels and so close to grocery stores. Just remember to pack light and pack the sunscreen and bug spray. Yes, bugs are everywhere at the Keys, not just at this resort. Thank you, Atlantic Bay, for another excellent family, fun experience. …

We stayed 2 nights in Tropical Cottage No 1 and it was fantastic. The cottage was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable that we slept well. The kitchen area seemed well equipped although we ate out so didn't use the facilities, the large fridge was great for keeping the beer and wine cool!! The pool and beach area were well tended and all staff were friendly. There were kayaks, paddleboards, life vests, bikes, cornhole, bbq available for use. The bay area was perfect for canoeing and there was plenty of space in the resort for sitting in the sun or finding some shade. The cottages little tiki hut deck had chairs and table too so was great for taking in the amazing view! We drove to nearby restaurants for food although there is an Italian within walking distance. We walked to The Blond Giiraffe Key Lime Pie Factory for delicious key lime pie and coffee. Would have loved to have stayed longer and would definitely return. …

A group of us stayed 3 nights during Nov 2022. We had three cottages next to each other. The cottage was a nice size for two and even a third on the sofa. The interior was clean and renovated nicely. The kitchen has a supply of dishes, etc…. We grilled outside and the staff suggested we look through the stash of utensils to assist with cooking. The front porch was perfect and almost another room. Proximity to the water is excellent from all accommodations. Many kayaks to borrow. A very calm environment tucked away. Felt like a casual resort.

Stayed here in a Tropical King Cottage for 5 nights in May 2023 Pros - Beautiful accommodation, with separate kitchenette and living area - Stunning, peaceful location with small private beach - Lovely pool area. Was very quiet when we were here and it was bliss! - Great facilities, e.g. bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, barbecues, all free for guests to use - Incredible sunsets - Convenient location, close to numerous restaurants and shops. - Easy to get an Uber if you want to have a drink with dinner, as you have to drive to most places - Lovely staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Cons - None - but it would be good if they provided recycling bins So glad we decided to book here. A beautiful, intimate, boutique resort.

We stayed here for 6 nights for our 25th Anniversary, and it was Amazing!! we wanted a place on the quieter side that we could Relax, get out on the water, catch some rays and Sunsets. Atlantic Bay Delivered incredibly across the board! Their lagoon was nice and quiet and filled with aquatic life! The Tropical Cottage was excellent, clean and comfortable. Having our own Private tiki hut was great. Kayaks, Paddleboards were popular with most guests. They have recently added a "light breakfast" to the resort and it's setup in a cute little beachside patio. the Only knock on the stay to me was that there was not any dressers, so living out of the suitcase for 6 nights was less than ideal. that said, I would 125% book here again in a heartbeat. beautiful surroundings, well maintained. Staff was professional and courteous during each of our few interactions. …

Was there on March 23-26, 2023 as 4 rooms were booked to surprise my husband for his birthday. Staff friendly however, paid $525 per night for a cottage that had a patio for entertaining guests BUT inside & out totally infested with mosquitos!!! We asked a worker about spraying he said “they spray by helicopter”. We spent a fortune on yard and bug spray and still was getting bit, the mosquitos were relentless. We brought it to the attention at the desk and was told “I’m sorry, I will make a note about the problem”. Inside cottage they were in cabinets, bathroom, bedroom it was horrible! Also, there is was a small closet, no dresser to place your clothing, had to ask for the room to be cleaned. Overall, property was “decent” but “all ou rooms were a disgrace.
