The absolute rudest woman at the front desk. Just because of her disposition will I never return here. Already when I called for availability she was horrendous, and we doubted our booking. Upon arrival she was even worse. Sugarloaf, fire her please although she seems like a fixture.

For the same tarif could of had a suite in another hotel. Desk guy said it was newly renovated...when, in 1970? The tiki barmaid seemed to want to be elsewhere. I feel riped off...

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is between Key West and Marathon/lower keys beaches. The other reason we stayed here was the slightly higher cost within Key West but decided due to easy commute. First we thought the new building in the front was the lobby! wrong! its actually a restaurant but the lobby is on the right that... More

Accommodation in around Key West Area is quite expensive, and this lodge provide a relatively cheaper alternative. Though it is still about half an hour drive before reaching key west. Rooms are pretty standard, with toiletries given. Decoration of room is nice, but not very clean. Get the room in level 1 and you will have a balcony and a... More

We were in the area for a high school sporting event. It happened to be spring break and St. Patrick's day so everything in Key West was very expensive. We decided to give the Sugarloaf Lodge a try because the price was right. We were very happy that we stayed at the Sugarloaf Lodge. The room rate was about $100... More

We stayed at this hotel when visiting family in Cudjoe Key. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no internet access unless you want to go to the lobby in order to connect to the internet. The hotel was undergoing some renovations when we visited so there was no food available. Although we did not go to the... More

Stayed at the Sugarloaf Lodge one night as we headed back to the airport. Older property but very clean. Great Tiki bar full of locals who kept us laughing all night! There is something to be said when a place is full of locals! The mattresses are in need of replacement but will stay here again. Right on the water.

The location of this hotel is great! Very close to key west. The water at the hotel doesn't look like much but if you get your goggles and jump in it is the best snorkeling in the key's!!! Lots of things to see in the water. The staff was HORRIBLE!! I felt like I was NOT WANTED felt like a... More

THE PROS are that we docked our boat right outside our room; The king bed was very comfortable; there was a small fridge in the room; we had a waterfront view. THE CONS are that they are overpriced for not having internet in the room or a coffeemaker. If you want to use the internet, you have to go into... More
