We have stayed here before last year, when they were actually renovating the section of rooms we stayed in this time. It was a great place before the renovations!!! It is FANTASTIC with the renovations completed!!! We will continue to stay here everytime we come to Siesta key. Great value, location, staff and property in general!!!!! more

I travel to Sarasota frequently, and always stay on Siesta Key. I have stayed at the Tropical Sun Resort several times in the past, and was delighted during my last visit to find the rooms beautifully renovated with new furniture, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, an Ipod port, and a flat screen t.v., making it the best deal around! more

The rooms are really nice and updated. The hotel is older. Close to resteraunts and malls. Beachside, but room was on the road and cannot see the beach from the hotel alittle walk. This is our secon stay at Tropical Sun. We also stayed there last summer. I stayed last year with my husband and this year with my 23-year-old daughter, both long weekends. The hotel is very quiet and relaxing. It is convienent to be able to fix lunch in your room and then walk down the private road to the beach.... more

We needed a short weekend away with our kids and this was a perfect place. The room was beautiful with a beautiful granite kitchen with very nice appliances. I was able to make breakfast with the full stove. The sheets were wonderfully soft. The beach was a short walk, but worth it. It had soft sand and beautiful clear water.... more

We have found our summer place!! Every year my daughters and I spend a week at a beach resort in Florida. We have never stayed anywhere twice as there are too many beautiful places to see in one lifetime!
