There is not much written about this resort. Let me first say that it is not a five star resort. The resort was built in the 1970's and was originally built as a condominium complex and later turned into timeshares. Yes, the decor is some what dated but the unites are huge and can accommodate a large family if needed.... more

Lighthouse Resort and Club is a great place to stay when you take your family to Sanibel Island. It is huge, clean and maintained well. It is a bit dated but the surrounding beauty more than makes up for it. You needn't go out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as the unit is fully equipped. more

Lighthouse Resort is a small quiet property with huge units conveniently located on the east end of Sanibel Island. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area and always friendly, pleasant and helpful. We had a few minor maintenance issues with immediate responses. We are already looking forward to returning next year. more

We really loved this place - it is across the road from the Gulf Beach, but an easy walk on a non-busy street. The San Carlos Bay Side beach was much quieter than the gulf - suitable for young children as well. Several fisherman caught Snook and REdfish from the beach.
