Sanibel beach is beautiful, no doubt but i will prefer to stay in a better place next time. they need to replace the carpet from the rooms, they even have carpet on the walkways and in the porchs. I was so impressed with the cottage that we stayed in. It was by no means fancy and but very clean and hearing the ocean at night was awesome. We've stayed at many different places on Sanibel/Captive and Shalimar Cottages is definately one of the best. All the cottages were remodeled several years ago - the pool is beautiful and can't beat the location. more

The property is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is clean and also well maintained. I don't spend much time in the room so I have no comment on furnishings. I do however have something to say about the behavior of the manager. Upon checking in I had a few questions and was spoken to like I was a child.... more
