The location is very far from Ft. Myers which we didn't realize, our error. Our initial encounter at the front desk was negative, but another gal later was very helpful. There is no heat in the bath houses and no solid doors to close. It was a chilly 43 this morning. The 'well stocked store' was not. I must say... More

As I've noted in other reviews, RV parks on Florida's SW coast are hard to come by and many overpriced for what you get. KOA Pine Island/Fort Myers is no exception. This park is mature with an aging infrastructure of broken concrete pads and a noticeable lack of shade trees under the sometimes brutal Florida sun. As others have said,... More

We have returned to this KOA time after time. I just read the other reviews and must comment. The hot tub has been replaced and is working. The "no see ums" (tiny bugs) are bad; but there is an effective insecticide sold at the camp store. The park is a little old; and more trees would be nice; but it... More

We stayed the weekend of October 26, 2012 in the Kamping Kabins. They were a great little cabins, although ours was next to the wastewater facility (that wasn't in the brochure). The grounds are nicely maintained and there is a clubhouse with a pool table and workout room. We didn't utilize much more because we were fishing. It is a... More

We don't usually make reservations, but we wanted to stay 8 nights and it extended into the beginning of the season (October). I had to prepay for the entire 8 days when I made the reservation, then they hit me with a $3/day resort fee when we arrived. On the 5th day I notified them that we would be leaving... More

Keep in mind, while reading this, that I was camping in a tent in the middle of july. There were so many mosquitos and no-seems that I did not have a pleasent stay. It perhaps ruined the whole experience. The pool was nice though but the reception closed a bit early. The restrooms were nasty. I even found a couple... More

The Staff were very friendly. Most of the people there were seasonal, but they were very welcoming. We stayed there only one week. The pool was nice and all the bathrooms facilities were very clean. We did alot of traveling while there so the days were not spent at the campground. While we were out one day, the wind started to... More

This is a BIG RV park in the middle of nowhere towards the South end of Pine Island. It is a place to stay, what can I stay? Kind of like a Red Lobster, mediocre but servers the immediate need. I give it plus because the bath houses are clean and up to date. This place needs some serious trees!!!... More

Spent New Year's Eve/Day at this location. This KOA is also an Encore property, and caters to seasonal and annual campers (snowbirds). There are lots of *permanent* mobile homes here, and the feel is more of a retirement community than a camp site. If you are travelling with children, this may not be the campsite for you. My son (10... More
