If you want to visit a beach that is not crowded and has beautiful blue green waters then this is the place to go. The water was beautiful and warm. Many times I just sit on the beach and watch the rest of the family get in the water. So if I get in and enjoy it you know this... More

First of all, this is a cabin review. You can get an idea of how nice the park is from the camping reviews. It is beautiful, as long as you go during a period without bugs. The cabins are small. How the Florida State Park web site says they can accommodate 6 people escapes me (unless you want to re-live... More

Title says it all. Spent Labor Day weekend of 2011 here (unfortunately during a tropical depression) but it still couldn't dampen our spirits! The locals and rangers were friendly and helpful, the fishing was fun, the marina is awesome and the beaches are serene. TRIP DETAILS: • Sep 1 - 5, 2011 • Shady Pines Campground • site #78 •... More

We drove to Cape San Blas from Scenic 30A area. It was a nice drive once we got outside of the Panama City area. We passed Tyndall AFB, Mexico Beach(beautiful and no June Grass!). We stopped at WindMark-a St. Joe Company Vacation Home development. It was like a ghost town there. Very nice looking development, though. We continued on to... More

We camped with our new 5th wheel camper at St. Joseph in early May and were very impressed with the facilities. . . the beach is close and beautiful, as most Gulf Coast beaches are. In an earlier review it mentioned that little bugs (sand fleas) were biting, so you just need to spray yourself and go on. Don't let... More

We spent half a day in June on this beach. One of the best beaches we saw in Florida (traveled all the way around the peninsula). Warm water, white and silky sand, just a few people around. We all fell in love with the Forgotten Coast!

we tent camped in mid April. The park is very nice. Campground had a fire and most of the foliage has been burnt. Does not make for a pretty view. Campsites are close together. The worst problem is the "no see ums", little black bugs that bite. You had to spray down with bug spray or get eaten alive. We... More

Our two night stay in one of the cabins was the best part of our whole trip. They are fantastic. Seculded, a walkway to what feels like your own private beach where you can watch the sunrise from a bench and then walk over to the other side of the peninsula and watch it set from the other beach. We... More
