Our room was smelly and old. When we walked in the smell of damp basement was overwhelming and we were on the third floor. I cannot believe that this is a Hilton hotel. The staff is mixed between uninterested and friendly, but mostly they do not acnowledge your existence. I would recommend staying at the Hampton Inn at the beach....

The Hampton Inn in Panama City was one of the less impressive Hampton Inns where we've stayed. Our first room had problems with ants; the staff very happily offered us a new (and at least theoretically upgraded) room where at least the ants weren't in the bed. Thankfully, the beds had been updated which does make a big difference.

This hotel is not the worst I stayed in but it is in need of renovation to bring it up to the standards of the other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. The carpet is worn, the blankets are old and have tears and holes in them. The walls need new paint in the rooms and out in the lobby....
