It's easy to describe Grand Shores, old. This place is screaming "Upgrade! Upgrade! The unit is filthy dirty. Location, sailboat and kayak rentals are the reasons our office manager chose this spot. The pillows and linens are stained, the tap only shuts off if held a certain way. Exchanged here with RCI. Not the standard we would expect. Rooms shabby and rundown, not particularly clean. The location is excellent, right on the beach and they have cabanas and lounge chairs for guests use. Also kayaks and boat rides. Now for the BAD part. We had our backpack stolen from the poolside. We stayed here last October while in the area to attend our Grandson's wedding. Other than the parking (few places onsite - most have to park across the street), we couldn't have been happier with the accomodations, the way we were treated by the staff and the gorgeous location. I have been coming to GSW for as long as I can remember... The Beach is beautiful! It is a somewhat quite area, there are a few good restaurants, John's Pass is nice. It is not a Big "Nightlife" area. Tampa is not a far drive, Theme parks (Disney...) can be done as a day trip. The Best part is... more

I am a time sharer at GSW. i visit there every year in october. the place is nice a cozy with a great atmosphere with everyone around incl staff and guests. all the regular staff who i have got to know over the years are fantastic they would bend over backwards to make sure your stay is a pleasent one.... more

Booked this place on a walk in, and had 4 day stay after 2 days the phone rings and the front desk tells us you must go too another room because of a booking error! Say What !! or else you can check out ! This placed sucked, Spend your hard earned some place else! more
