We did choose the honeymoon room (# 317) and it was so good. First morning, sitting at the balcony eating breakfast, we saw manatees in the river. The hotel is not the most luxorious ( if that is important for you) but it is friendly, clean and have perfect location. more

Quick, 1 night anniversary trip. Greeted with a smile and an offer to peek at all available rooms and upgrade for the same rate at which we had booked. We chose room #318-wood paneled, lots of space and private balcony (overlooks the road into town but has a view of the intercoastal; we were served our continental breakfast on the... more

Just visited the Spa portion of the Riverside complex and it was a huge disappointment. We stayed at another property on New Smyrna Beach and we did not eat at the Grill Restaurant, so this review is only about the Spa. We had booked a couples massage. I think the way to sum up our experience is that the spa... more

Returning to the Riverview is like seeing old friends. The place hasn't changed much in the past few years - but has gotten much more popular. That's good for the owners and a challenge for guests. We stayed four nights but on our last night we had to move from our pool-side room to an east ground-floor room because of... more

Old Florida hospitality still exists, and theRiverview is where it can be found. The staff goes out of their way to make everything perfect.18 rooms, all decorated differently , in a restored 1885 bridgekeeper's home make for a unique experience. The Riverview Grill on the property has great intercoastal waterway views where dolphins are normally sited. The hotel is a quiet... more

This place is fine but there is definitely room for improvements. The rooms are nicely appointed but a hairdryer would have been nice. The room was large and another trash bin within the room would have been helpful. Mattresses are also in need of replacement. Cleanliness is where they can make the greatest improvements. Bathroom floor and shower had hair.... more

My husband and I decided to add a few days after working a convention in Orlando and escape to the Riverview. Having the reservation in place back in the Fall made all the pre-convention work bearable (gave me something to look forward to). We did a few days at Disney. Then on Friday drove down to NSB, stayed in our... more

We used to live in New Smyrna and would always put family and friends up at Riverview. In November we returned to town for a visit and decided to treat ourselves to a stay at the Riverview Hotel. In three days time we ended up staying in two rooms (due to room availability). Both rooms were filthy. I never heard... more
