We camped here during the week of Thanksgiving and we had a great time. They even had a potluck dinner where they supplied the turkey and the guests all brought a side dish. The first day we arrived we were treated to a meal on the beach. Shrimp, crawdads, and fixins. We stayed in a 4 person cabin and loved it. Area stores and shops close by. We found the other campers and staff very friendly. Our cabin was clean and in a good location in the campground.

Try the beachfront site. Looks right out at the water. Good for fishing but not swimming as the campground borders the sound. A few miles to the beach and ocean. Quiet campground with great staff. Not much in the area for entertainment or restaurants. Good place to stock up some food and chill out.

We stayed in the large vacation house for a family gathering/ birthday party. The pictures are deceptive. The house wasn't very clean, there was something under the table that looked like dog poop, the floor was so dirty we had to clean it before we could let the kids down and the mop was so dirty we couldn't even use... So close to the wildness, and yet far enough away to completly relax!! Everyone was so nice and everything was spotlessly clean!! Really enjoyed our stay!! Never even had to to leave the campground for a great time!!!

I gave it an average rating due to the close proximity of the campsites. I was within 6 feet of my neighbor on one side and 10 feet on the other, very close quarters.
