This was my third stay at the Inn. The owners were accomodating with a continental breakfast when I had to be out the door before their 9 AM breakfast time. The room was warm and comfortable, even though it was at freezing outside. I'm still quite pleased with the Inn and anticipate my return. More

I have been raving to people since our Mt. Dora visit and telling them about this amazing B&B we stayed at. We came looking for antiques but found another treasure… The house is very modest and quaint -- decorated with late 18th century antiques which add character but the real gem was Ana, the Inn-keeper and Jim's breakfasts - OMG!!!... We didn't expect such a warm, enjoyable hospitality by Anna the inn-keeper and her husband Jim the chef. We had a marvelous weekend. and we are definitely going there again. More

I finally got a chance to visit MT Dora after my husband has been raving about the place for years and after having chatted with the innkeepers on twitter for quite awhile. I'll start with the town, it's cute, it's really cute, felt safe walking to and from restaurants at night, drivers were considerate. Actually in the whole of Florida... More

This was me and my new bride's first stop on an adventure honeymoon, which was recommended to me by one of my customers. "You should go to Mount Dora", she said. "And stay at the Mount Dora Historic Inn. You won't be sorry!" Boy, was she right! The Inn was warm and clean, and Anna was just purely delightful! We... More

We've enjoyed staying in B&Bs since the 1970s, from New England to Florida. Our new favorite is Ana & Jim's wonderful oasis in Mt. Dora, a charming, old-Florida town that provides the perfect setting for the Inn. We booked online and chose "Miss Elsie's Room", and we were extremely pleased with the accommodations -- one of the most comfortable beds... More

My husband and I were treated to a nights stay at the Historic Inn by my Father and his wife, which were past guests at the establishment before Jim and Anna took over. We chose to stay in the same room as they did, which was Mr. Charlie's room. It was just as charming and cozy as the pictures suggested. What... More

Jim and Ana's bed and breakfast is a charming little place nestled in the heart of lovely downtown Mt. Dora. Our room was very cozy and comfortable, however the innkeepers and their warm authentic personal stlye are what makes a difference for us. Architectural and historical charm alone do not suffice to make for a memorable visit. Jim was also... More
