The Gansevoort South is a fabulous hotel. I would reccommend it to any adult in a heartbeat! Clean, large ,eautiful room. Everything was very good from the room service to the pool etc etc. Rooms are a little bit cold. I guess a very trendy place, so if you don't fall in this category, you may not be as excited. I thought it was overpriced. more

Just spent 3 nights at this fabulous hotel. Had a deluxe ocean suite that was absolutely gorgeous. Service everywhere was excellent. Front desk staff was definitely superb. Certainly quite the scene at the rooftop pool, but if you want to hang with celebrities and wannabe's there is a price to pay. Drink prices do double after 6 pm so beware.... more

The Gansevoort South Beach is a fabulous Hotel. The service is great. The rooms are brand new, very big and very trendy. The ocean front hotel has two great pools (One rooftop). The hotel is located right in the middle of all the action. I highly recommend the Gansvoort South. more

There's no doubt that the Gansevoort is (on the surface at least), a glamorous and good looking hotel. But unless all you care about is style over substance and can overlook bad manners, poor service, awful and overpriced food, infuriatingly slow TVs, stupidly designed lifts, etc etc, just don't go here.
