We spent four nights at Essex House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, The location in South Beach is perfect within easy walking distance of all restaurants in the area and just one street from the beach. Everything was great! No complaints. We had 4 girls in a room and it was small but manageable. Room wasnt squeaky clean but it wasnt disgusting. Staff was very courteous and very open to engaging in conversation about things to do. We didnt take advantage of the happy hours but maybe next time! I'd definitely stay here again if cost... more

A lovely little hotel just off Ocean Drive , 5 mins walk to beautiful Miami South beach. Nicely positioned , close to everything, beach , Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. Everyone who worked there was friendly and available to help. The only problem I encountered was the headboard in the bedroom is cloth and there was a stain (bodily fluids) on it. The lady at the front desk was so energetic it got us excited to be there. We had reserved suites that had a small seating area with a coffee table - very convenient to sit around with friends. The tub had a jacuzzi that we took advantage of - although due to low water pressure it took forever to fill.... more

The location is excelent, the rooms are very basic but clean and the staff is very, very nice and frendly. Overall, you get what you pay for. The amenities at the Clevelander are nice and you can use them all. more
