We stayed at the Fortune House for one night in January, 2012 before a cruise. It is a good, central location in downtown Miami. There was a Publix within walking distance although we had to ask for directions because it is down a side street. This is not a standard hotel. Rather, it is a condominium unit which has full-time...

Good central location. Great ocean view. Breakfast was nice. The hotel service was really good. And I liked the pool very much.

I paid for the 2night package in the executive suite, upon checking in to the hotel or what I was told was a 4-star hotel, was quickly realized to be totally untrue. The front desk clerk did'nt know about the Groupon package special, she kept going to the back to get answers from her manager,it took about 15 minutes to check in.Once...

We had two “rooms” which are actually apartments. One was single bedroom and the other had two bedrooms. The apartments were well equipped with a full kitchen (but no kettle in either apartment!) and two bathrooms in the two bedroom apartment. The pressure in one of the showers in the two bedroom apartment could have stripped paint off a car....

My SO and I stayed one night in Miami at Fortune House - it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The run down - as we pulled up to the Valet, Miami police officers were entering the building. That should have been a sign. Not sure what the problem was. During our check in, the front desk clerk kept...

I stayed there for 3 months and it was the worst experience that I ever had. Terrible service that never attended what we requested, unprepared recepcionists, manager that never answered any questions, recurrent internet and TV problems and even my wife's robe vanished when one of the ladies cleaned up the apartment. That is stealing and nobody did anything about...

Fortune House is more like older apartments. Didn't feel the "hotel thing" and amenities at ALL. It did look like they were in the process of remodeling some areas. We stayed on the 7th floor and our friends stayed on the 17th. Our apartment was old appliances, furniture, pretty run-down.On the other hand, our friends apartment on the 17th floor...

Big clean rooms but very stark, kind of a cold feeling. We were just staying one night on our way to Key West. I think half the hotel is long stay type apartments. Staff was very friendly and helpful. $20 per day valet parking is your only choice, not happy about that. Free wireless internet worked flawlessly. The hotel is...

You are better off staying at a Motel 6, rather than staying in this "hotel". I had booked a suite for two nights at the hotel, and was assigned a room on the pent house level. After traveling for business over a span of about 40 years, I thought I had seen everything. However, this hotel provided me with another...
