Second time we stayed here and it was perfect, just like the first time. Every detail is taken care of and Michael and Josh made sure reservations were made for all our dinner reservations and activities. We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Heron House and we could not have made a better choice. The location is perfect...very close to Duval, but amazingly quiet and peaceful. Room was clean but sheets dirty. Had streaks of dirt and hair (from previous guests perhaps?) on them. Pillow cases dirty. One pillow clearly had a boogar on it. Staff friendliness varied. My girlfriend and I decided to make the Heron House our temporary home for our third visit to Key West this year and I can say that I was definitely satisfied with the stay. The plaza is quaint and the ambiance is romantic. The property is full of green topical plants that make you really feel like you're in paradise.... more

This could have been a really neat Inn if the staff were not so unfriendly. The first person who checked us in was very nice, took time to show us the property and generally chatted us up. After that we never saw him again. The other two staff members/host were both very stand offish to the point of being rude.... more
