I travel this country continuously for biz and having lived in and travel often to Florida, I know that the state's motel/hotels leave much to be desired. Overpriced for the quality of this hotel. Far from the action, this hotel is dated, musty smelling. We changed rooms 3 times on arrival finding the musty smell overwhelming. The pool was great. It had a tiki bar and was big and beautiful. The room, though, was pretty nasty. We had a roach in the bathroom and my sister's suitcase got infested with ants. I stayed here 1 night with my aunt and we were very pleased with the spacious rooms, the safes in the room, good water pressure, large fridge, great view, and the free welcome package and coupons from the concierge. It's perfect for its price and is not overpriced like many Key West hotels. more
