We stayed here in April 2012 after we liked it in November 2011.
We stayed on the ground floor, facing the beach, and it was so great.
The place did not smell at all.
It was so clean. The guy came by and took the outdoor grill away every day and cleaned it, and they washed the lawn chairs and...

The smell of the lobby should have been enough to turn anyone away, but I was tired. Great location, but nothing else good can be said about this place. The whole place smelled like curry. I moved to another hotel, it was that bad.
We are Flip-flop Floridians who love to hit the beach for weekends. We tried this hotel for the first time recently and repented the decision at our leisure. The hotel is in a wonderful location -so we still enjoyed the beach. But we avoided our smelly room and left after a single night. When we told the often missing front...

I was a little disappointed in how it changed since my last stay. Our bathroom tub had very poor water pressure and you couldn't use the tub just the shower. No one ever seemed to be in the office which I found strange. Had to hunt someone down for extra towels and wash rags and paying for ice, really.. It...

My Mother passes away locally. We needed a place close to my fathers house and not spend too much. Staying on the beach was cathartic, realxing, and helped to make a bad time better! Thanks
I should have gone wth my gut when I booked this hotel. When I called the gentlemen spoke very broken englisch. When we arrived they make you read 5 pages of rules. I don't think my children's elementary school has more rules than this place. Let me share some of the rules.. You cannot ride the elevator unless you are...

I am compelled to let everybody know that I love Gulf Towers! My husband and I have been staying there the week before Memorial Day for about 10 years now. Granted, the place had fallen into a state of disrepair, but Mike has really turned it around. We enjoyed the wonderful accommodations and service, as well as it being easy...

I am staying at Gulf Towers right now, looking out my window at the Gulf of Mexico on a beautiful, sunny day. Is this place the Ritz-Carlton? No! Am I paying a little over $750 to stay right on the beach? Yes! My room was clean when I checked in with a frig, microwave, dishes and a small two burner...

We stayed here mainly because there was very little choice in this area with very few hotels/motels. It was well placed opposite Crabby Bill's Fish Restaurant on the edge of the beach. We paid $110 with a Room Saver coupon book (obtainable from Denny's foyers). The lift was tatty and smelly. Our room problems were: only one hand towel; used...
