Stayed 2 nights, $ price was attractive and had stayed at this hotel before. Overall the quality of this hotel has declined since our last stay. 1st night we arrived late and checked in, room was a bit noisy (walls are thin) and seeing the filthy dehumidifier in the room should have alerted us (see photo). Room was small and... More

We booked a room at this location because it was the closest to a relatives house. We arrived late at night and within ten minutes of checking into our room we called the 800 number to cancel our reservation for the following night and get into another Marriott property. We always stay at a Marriott because you know the quality... More

Dear JMM423, Thank you for your candid review. Let me first assure you, we are and always have been a Marriott. In fact we are one of the original “Nifty Fifty” Fairfield Inn’s built nearly 30 years ago. Our design conceived by Mr. Marriott with 2 floors of exterior corridor rooms and 1 floor of interior corridor rooms was state... More

Having stayed at this property before, we find the location, just off I-75 quite convenient. There is a choice of restaurants in the area for dinner and the hotel's breakfast offers a nice variety of food. The dining area is smaller than other Fairfield Inns that we have stayed at but it is adequate. Although the hotel could use some... More

Dear Serviceprof, Thank you for your kind words regarding my staff and their attention to prompt helpful and friendly service. You are quite correct Marriott no longer constructs Fairfield Inn’s like ours. We are referred to as a Generation-1 Fairfield Inn and they changed our design nearly 20 years ago. However as you noted while we may be an oldie... More

When we drove up, it was OH NO what did we book ahead of time! Rooms are small but immaculately clean. Modern fixtures in the bathroom but small towels. Breakfast was exactly the same as all other Fairfields. Internet connection was slow. There were very helpful people at this inn both at the front desk and breakfast area..

Dear TechnicianMichigan, I commiserate with your first impression and I know it’s hard not to judge a book by its cover. However, we are in fact an original Fairfield Inn, built nearly 30 years ago and times and design standards have changed many times since then. I will forward your acknowledgement of the immaculately clean room and comments about my... More

Long time Marriott fan. Staff very helpful and service oriented. If you are new to Marriott lodging you will find this property doesn't represent current standard of hospitality. Rooms are small. Doors open to outside. Furniture somewhat dated. Hard to find hotel - especially if coming from jacksonville or north unless u have GPS. Marriott no longer constructs to these... More

The outside hallways ought to have been enough warning for me not to book this hotel. I am absolutely stunned that Marriott allows it to carry the Fairfield flag. It is Motel 6 quality. Room AC cycles on and off underneath the window to the outdoor hallway all night long. We had two rooms and both had this issue so... More

This is a conveniently located, clean hotel with exceptional staff. The manager, James was delightful and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in the door. He even offered his opinion of local restaurants and night spots which were on spot! The desk clerk, Chris that checked us in was knowledgable, professional and friendly. The rooms... More

We travel to Gainesville quite a bit and always stay at the Fairfield Inn. We find the beds very comfortable, the rooms clean, the staff very helpful and pleasant, and breakfast good. Whether we made our reservation on line or gone directly to the hotel, we have never had a bad experience here and will continue to frequent this hotel.

This is the one and only bad experience i've had at a Mariott property. The desk chair actually had a blood stain on the back and the seat was also disgustingly stained.
