My stay at the tranquil and beautifully appointed Laurel Oak Inn was brief but very pleasant. My hosts at the University of Florida arranged my stay there and I am most grateful for not being put up in the usual vanilla flavor business hotel. Although I was busy and did not get much time to enjoy all the amenities, the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night at The Laurel Oak Inn, and it will certainly be our choice of places to stay next time we visit Gainesville. The innkeepers, Monta and Peggy, did an outstanding job of renovating a dismally treated old Victorian house. They treated the architecture with respect, yet made all the spaces very comfortable and beautiful. While... More

The Inn is beautiful, the keepers are delightful and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The Inn is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood close, walking distance from the shops and restaurants downtown. My room was very nice and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The Laurel Oak Inn - a 1885 Queen Anne Victorian restoration - is just about perfect. Its on-site owners/hosts Monta and Peggy Burt really know how to make you feel at home, and are justifiably proud of their Inn. We only stayed one afternoon/night, but would return again. The Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood - actually there... More

Attentive hosts at this immaculate and charming b and b. Warm and cozy, but not overdone or fussy. Incredible breakfasts which are inventive and delicious. These owners love what they are doing and it shows in their attention to detail and their care for their guests.

A short notice family celebration brought us to Gainesville the weekend of the Gator Nationals and we were fortunate to find this lovely, well priced B & B for our 4 night stay in a quiet, convenient neighborhood close to downtown. The owners welcomed us like old friends and made us feel right at home immediately. Monta and Peggy are... More
