Went to the atlantic for a long weekend, thursday thru sunday, thursday night was spectacular, in all areas. Come saturday when the hotel was full, it fell apart. Stayed at the Atlantic Hotel for a girls' weekend. The room had two queen beds (vs doubles), two closets, a mini refrig, double sinks, a separate toilet area and great views. I have stayed at The Atlantic many times - for work and play - and will always come back for more when in the Fort Lauderdale area. The rooms are all excellent and the views can't be beat. I stayed 2 nights in a king superior suite w/ an intracoastal view. The suite was very large. Double doors opened the suite, as well as, double doors opened to the bedroom and bathroom. People at hotel were nice and helped with everyting . Location is a little bit away from shoping, but only a quick walk down the beach and your good. The nice thing aobut it being away from the shopping is you don't have a crowded beach. more
This is at a quieter section of the beach, so no children around during our stay, which we appreciate. Loungers/Umbrella for the day $50. A good mix of people/ages. The hotel is truly beautiful. The rooms are luxurious and very modern. We got an ocean-side room with a southern exposure and the view was magnificent.
