The place itself is well situated and the rooms are large, clean, confortable and quiet. Rick was on duty when we arrived after a long trip. Travelodge Florida City was great. The location for touring the Everglades was great. The location for our day trip to Key West was great. And when we went to Miami for the cruise the short distance was great. Travelodge Florida City is single story with parking right outside your door. Our room rate was $68 plus taxes. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a reasonably priced decent place to stay to regroup from our cruise. We we greeted by a knowledgable and helpful front desk staff, that couldn't do enough for us and with a smile. Our one or two night stay was extended to four nights. Great location, service and amenities. Very friendly guests, almost every evening we were invited by other guest to join them on their patio. Looks like so many people are comming to this motel frequently and we agreed with them; this is a jewel. Gas stations, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Dennys, Mc Donalds, Bait and Tackle stores within walking distance. more

I found Travelodge on tripadvisor.com and spent one night there. The rooms were clean and service was very good. There are a couple of computers in the lobby to print out boarding passes and directions. There was a nice breakfast in the morning for guests. I stay in alot of motels on the dog show path and this was by far the best yet. The place is spotless (the even provide pick up bags and a garbage can in the dog area). The room was spacious with a 32" flat screen tv. Parking was right outside the door for easy loading. Management couldn't be nicer. They even gave me a microwave bag of popcorn on check in! I took an Audubon Group for a weekend to the Everglades and we stayed at the Travelodge in Florida City for two nights. We had 16 rooms and from the well organized check in to our departure everything was terrific! The staff at the front desk could not have been more helpful, the rooms were all clean and mattresses comfortable. The continental breakfast was definately better than the norm.
