My husband and I are seniors that appreciate any thing that involves history. To be able to see that vault that held "more money than any other bank in the state when Hurricane Donna hit on Sept. 10th, 1960," was one of the highlights of our trip through South Florida. Sleeping right upstairs from that safe was thrilling. I could... More

Stayed here on a recent trip to the everglades with the wife and in-laws. Booked it based on other reviews here and a paucity of choices in the Everglades City area. The building is cute and quite historic and the rooms are beautifully appointed. By far, the nicest you'll find for miles around Everglades City. Unfortunately there were also a... More

Arrived to find a very historical B&B in an old bank. Interesting information, the original safe, old china, nicely decorated guest rooms and an extremely friendly hostess, Patty. We wished there had been a guest room on the first floor or an elevator/lift of any kind, as it was such a big flight of stairs to haul up our stuff-... More

The old bank has lots of charm and a lot of the original detail. Patty is great, we asked for a boxed lunch as we were going fishing the next day and she provided us with a great spread. Very thoughtful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is great and the lady who runs it delivers great service. The hotel is one of a kind, being a former bank. I stayed in Mortgage Department room - quite large. Opposite the hotel is a restaurant where i had a dinner - very good as well.

My boyfriend and I had a very nice experience at the Everglades Historical B&B. When we arrived we were greeted by Miss Patty, who is a fabulous hostess and was very warm and friendly. She showed us up to our room, which was clean, spacious, and beautifully decrorated. The bathroom was very clean and modern. There was an air conditioner... More

I have been staying in Everglades City over the couse of 10 years while visiting the Fakahatchee Preserve. This newly-opened B&B inside a historic bank building is top shelf lodging with a Southern graciousness not found in the other hotels. Sets a new standard in town.

We had a marvelously relaxing week-end at the Historical B and B. You won't believe the attention to detail. Our room was immaculate and spacious! The breakfast was perfect. We ate when we wanted and enjoyed the welcome refreshments upon our arrival.
