Stayed eight days here with grand children. This was our second time here. We really enjoyed staying here. The pool is quite large and clean. We had it to ourselves most of the time. I actually loved the fact that this Days Inn is in the flight path of the St Pete/Clearwater airport. Well insulated, no noise intrusion! But its fun to step outside and see a MD30 go over your head. Enjoyed my stay. Stayed while on vacation. The hotel was very clean the staff was very friendly. What more can u ask for? They have a beautiful large pool that I couldnt keep my kids out of. The beds at the hotel were comfortable, but, otherwise, we were most disappointed in the hotel’s service and appearance. Booked for a week because I was starting a new job nearby and wanted a place close to my new office. Check in went OK. The person behind the counter "upgraded" me to the room I had booked (or thought I had booked) on the internet - one with a fridge and microwave....she didn't charge me the "extra" $10/day for... more
The good news...I did not encountered any bed bugs on my one night stay. I notice the pool needed cleaning and there was a stack of old mattress. I guess this solved the bed bug problem. The breakfast was O.K. The internet was down when I checked in, but was working in the morning. more
I was an advisor tor a class of 70 teenagers on a senior trip and stayed at this hotel November 20, 2007. Stayed at the Days Inn Clearwater St. Petersburg Airport November 20th, 2007 with our High School Senior Class Trip. The hotel smelled terrible in the rooms, security guard hired was very old and deaf. Woke up to 4 bedbugs in my bed. I am a biology teacher and I know what bedbugs are and look like. The staff was very accomodating and nice. The hotel is older, but clean. I will come back, fair price, decent breakfast, and a beautiful pool, which we didnt really get to use because it rained a lot. more
