“Pool proximity room”

If you find yourself assigned to a room in the proximity of the DoubleTree's (Wilmington, DE) indoor pool, quickly insist on another room. a) you will have NO internet connectivity in that room; b) there's a very "off-smell" likely due to its proximity to the indoor swimming pool.

“reasonable hotel for reasonable price”

Parking costs excessive at $15 per night Toilet lid would not stay up on its own, and shower drain was clogged Check-in took a while even at 11PM and it appeared that other staff were available who could have helped Other than that the hotel was great

“Love the downtown double tree!”

Great hotel, convenient location, easy parking, wonderful service. Very clean - very nice. I love the attention to detail-even the soaps/shampoos are evelyn & crabtree-yum! Fantastic stay-I highly suggest it!

I agree with other reviewers when they say this hotel isn't up to standards. Check in was like trying to pull teeth. I had to ask all the questions (especially concerning parking) and coach the front desk employee about everything ( I'm an honors member, I booked my reservation through the site, this is how they usually handle checkin, etc)... “Excellent Service”

My arrival at the hotel the check in service was very quick and staff was very friendly. I also received a warm cookie that made me feel even more welcome. The rooms were very clean warm and inviting. I love the decor and the luxury towels and bath products. I was very confortable and relax my whole stay.

The staff was efficient and helpful without intruding. Staff knew we were guests in the hotel, giving us a warm greeting when they saw us in the lobby. The room was clean and pleasant.
