If you are looking for a a quirky, nice, and relaxing getaway, you could do a lot worse than Lewes Delaware (the self-proclaimed First State's first town). The inn is beautifully decorated, pristinely clean and in a great location. The only downside was the "thinness of the walls" so that other guests were easily overheard from my room.
