Tremendously friendly guesthouse... chatty but not intrusive. Wonderfully welcoming, particularly for dogs (with towels at the front door for your wet dog!). Ings is a lovely hamlet, but very close to other towns/villages if you prefer more business. The B&B is right by the main road but that wasn't a problem for us, and the road is quiet at night.... Another lovely stay at Meadowcroft,Rosemary is the perfect host! Clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast couldn't ask for more! We'll be back at Christmas, if not before (dog friendly too! ) Breakfast served by good looking man so an added bonus!!

Lovely place. We stayed for 2 nights and were very well looked after by Rosemary and Linda. Very dog-friendly - we took 2 - but equally good for those without dogs; by brother and family stayed in a family room. Excellent breakfast. We spent three nights in this guest house and found it very comfortable, the host Rosemary was very friendly and welcoming, the shower was the best ever experienced! The breakfast was well cooked, beautifully presented and very tasty. We will return!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Meadowcroft guest house. Excelent service. great breakfast. spotlessly clean. Room was quite small but adequate. 2 mile drive to Windemere. On a busy road but traffic was quiet at night and we slept really well. We would definately stay here again
