When was the last time a room turned out to be BIGGER than the photos? It happened to us when we saw the suite at the Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B - windows on three sides, a queen size bed, fireplace, sitting area with two cozy seats, a separate room with daybed and tv, and a large bathroom with a large... more

The town & atmosphere are lovely; central to short trips elsewhere. Fires in the evening and delectable breakfasts in the morning...charming guests are new friends. Worth every penny. more

Our first impression was created by the inn itself and as important, by the innkeeper Pat. She filled us in on the amenities that were offered and helped us daily to figure out the best places to eat and places to go. Her attention to details made us feel as though she were there only for us. We stayed in... more

Our room was nice but smelled rather musty and was very dusty. The matress was like a sack of potatoes. We never met an innkeeper during our stay which was strange. Our first breakfast was a fabulous one with baked goods, juice, coffee, jams and an egg strata that was delicious. Our second morning the breakfast was juice, coffee, pumpkin... more

This is a beautiful old home transformed into a B and B. The service people very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location was wonderful- has a loverly yard with chairs and hammock's to lounge in. This could only have been better if it had water-views. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. (Although... more

My fiance (wife now) and I were booked for what I thought was a weekend getaway. When we arrived, I found that she had set up a marriage package through the Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B. We were married in the parlor of the main house on August 29, 2009. The Pratt house was the perfect setting for our marriage and... more

We arrived at the historic B&B with high expectations, considering other reviews we had read. However, on this hot-hot August day, we arrived a little after 6 p.m., found a note on the unlocked front door, then hauled our luggage up the narrow staircase without any help, and attempted to settle into our boiling-hot room. (Oddly enough, we could hear... more

I enjoyed everything about this B&B! Beautiful, historic house; comfortable, well-furnished room; delicious breakfast in lovely dining room; other friendly guests; inviting yard with hammocks and chairs; interesting Main St. with nice shops and restaurants; near beautiful Old Saybrook Point and water views; but mostly the welcoming feeling from owner, Rich, and Patty, the warm, friendly, caring hostess. more

I enjoyed my stay. I so needed time alone. I stayed two nights in the Gambrell Room. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was very good and I met some wonderful people also staying there. The innkeeper was wonderful and full of suggestions on where to dine. I cannot wait to go back. more
