We recently stayed at The Old Mystic Inn. The accommodations in the Carriage House were great. The Breakfast was amazing. Michael is a great host and helpful with any details. I would highly recommend the Inn. It was nicely decorated for the holiday. More

The Old Mystic Inn, in Mystic CT was a true step back in time with the inn's decor and furnishings. Replicas of the 1700-1800's like Hitchcock chairs in the dining room, louvered windows, working fireplaces, and wide board floors made us feel like we had stepped into an Early American Inn. We stayed in the Carriage House which is a... More

My wife & I were at the Old Mystic Inn for two nights, staying in the Louisa May Alcott room, and we can't fault it! The room (in the Carriage House section) was comfortable & quiet, and the breakfasts that Michael (our host and owner of the place) made were fantastic. We stayed on the recommendation of my Sister &... More

The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are well kept, and the breakfast was exceptional. The owner has professional chef credentials, and the food showed it in taste and presentation. The owner gave great local info so that our time spent out of the hotel was entertaining, and a little off the beaten track. Others have already mentioned the main house... More

I'm so thrilled to see all the positive reviews the OMI has received! I was here recently and absolutely loved it. A friend and I spent a weekend in the Nathaniel Hawthorne room (each is named after a famous New England author & features copies of their most notable works) and enjoyed every single minute of it. The rooms were... More

Michael and his staff were absolutely amazing. The Inn is as I always pictured an Inn to be, and MORE. GOURMET, GOURMET, GOURMET, there is no other word to describe our elegant breakfasts every morning. Not only is Michael an amazing chef, his hosting skills are over the top. His suggestions for things to do, places to see, restaurants to... More

My husband and I stayed at the Old Mystic Inn B & B for three days. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. The rooms were great. Private & relaxing. The service was the best. When we arrived, there were chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. Michael showed us around and then left us to enjoy. We felt right at... More

CIA trained chef presented beautiful plates heaped with gourmet breakfast foods: a wonderful egg scrambled with squashes and onions the first morning; and his legendary cinnamon French toast stuffed with bananas, strawberries and cream cheese the second morning. The 1784 house once was a bookstore so each room is themed around one author, with related collections and copies of author's... More
