This dump is located at a phenomenal crossroads between Lakeville, CT and Millerton, NY. They have Starbucks coffee in the rooms, but the disposable plastic 60's style cups take away from the taste. This is where the positive review ends. Upon entering the room, you are overcome with a stench of mustiness and mold. Then after recovering from the olfactory overload,... More

We spent a dreadful night in this place in May. The room was dark, poorly decorated and smelled funny - probably an air freshener to mask odors. An upholstered tilt chair partially collapsed when we sat on it. The TV was ancient. The bathroom sink drained very slowly and the safety bar in the shower was not attached to the... More

Our spacious, clean room was all we needed for a weekend visit. You could argue with the overdone decorating and a bigger TV would be nice, but neither was important to us. The location can't be beat and it is set back from the road, so noise isn't an issue. The advertised queen bed was a king. Walk to an... More

Our room was spacious, but had a bit of a musty odor. We expected an inn, but it was a dated motel where we happily parked right in front of our room. The office area had a particuliarly moldy odor, but the breakfast--continental, with a large assortment of items--room was delightful. We felt the weekend price was exorbitant, but so... More

The days of high-quality, low-cost lodging from independent lodging owners have long disappeared -- if they ever existed in the first place. For the independent motel owner, the choices are to be (1) absorbed by a chain, (2) cheap in every way, or (3) a place with charm. Innumerable places have chosen (1) or (2); this place has decided on... More

I stayed here several times in the fall and winter of 2008-2009. I had an early business meeting nearby once a month. As I live over an hour away, I decided to treat myself and save the early morning driving. It was very pleasant-the room was always clean and well appointed-the continental breakfast was always ready on time and plentiful.... More

I stayed there recently for an event in Salisbury. It was a quiet nights stay with great service. The owners were very polite and friendly with us, The rooms were clean and had nice amenities, and the Rooms were good on size. Nice continental breakfast and great location.I will be staying there when I come to Salisbury again.

We stayed there because some family lives nearby in Millerton and we wanted to be together for the holidays. Listen, it's not a fancy hotel. But it is a charming little inn. The rooms are very clean and extremely large. And the price is more than reasonable when you compare it to nearby accommodations. Most importantly, the owners are helpful... More

Very disappointed, for the price they charged I was expecting hotel quality accommodations not an old worn out musty smelling room with a lumpy mattress. Definitely overpriced. Will be staying elsewhere this summer when I return to the track. Room was clean, towels were well worn.

It's a nice motel, but very overpriced. We were participating in an event in Lakeville and wanted to be nearby. Otherwise we would have chosen something farther away, but more fairly priced. It was ok - room was ok on size, cleanliness and appointments. Continental breakfast was ok, but we've stayed in nicer hotels for half as much.

Many of the reviews are critical of the establishments in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. Much of the pricing and available services/ammenities are reflective of a small, rural area located within a high rent/high tax area. This is a quiet part of a high density state and though it is near New York City, it cannot replicate New York City. More
