The Farmington Inn is the perfect idea of a hotel meets bed & breakfast meets home. It is very charming and welcoming. The staff is extremely helpful. The rooms are perfectly decorated like a bedroom in a New England home. The beds are so comfortable. The location is perfect with easy access to the highways, great restaurants near by and... More

I've been staying at the farmington inn on and off for business. I enjoy this inn because its not a chain. i usually stay in a suite. Very spacious room!, and the desk is perfect for me to get work done. This is the one place after working all day i am anxious to get back to. The front desk... More

Wife, doggie and I stayed for two nights in the weekend of December 17th. Not many places in the Hartford area that accept dogs without outrageous fees of around $100. So the Farmington Inn’s rate of $20. per night seemed attractive. Seemed is the key word. The lobby smelled of fresh cut pine and cinnamon as we checked in for... More

From their website it looks like an upscale inn but when I arrived I soon realized it was a run down facility. When plugging in the heater in my room it was hard not to notice the wires on the plug had been spliced and taped back together (very tacky). In addition the check-in staff, in the evening, had a... Peeling wallpaper and cracked painted doesn't mean its not clean just shows the age of the property. The long hall corridors seems damp/musty but smell was okay in the room. Our room was clean, the canopy beds were comfy. The location in historic area was nice, we walked around the town after breakfast. The breakfast was great however if you... More

We had a three night stay in a suite. The staff was lovely, professional, and very helpful. However, no bellman and no elevator. Our room was up two sets of stairs and down a long hallway. There was a strong smell of carpet freshener upon check in to the room.We slept with the window open the first night and that... More

This hotel turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I was there for 2 nights, and they kindly upgraded me to one of their mini-suites (albeit the one next to the slightly noisy HVAC yard). The rooms were very nicely furnished with a comfy large 4-poster bed, sofa, chairs, large LCD TV (sadly no hi-def feed it seems, but lots... More

The Inn seems nice on arrival. Staff very pleasant. i was upgraded to a suite which was an enormous room with a king size four poster bed, sounds good right??? The room had a very strong stench to it, smelled like my dog's veterinary office which means it smelled like urine and disinfectant. the couch and chair in the room... More

We were there for a quick over night stay. We stayed in a queen room. The hotel is somewhat dated but the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and hallways were quiet, even though there were 2 wedding party groups staying there. Our friends had a problem with a barking dog in the room next to theirs. The staff took... More
