Stayed at this hotel during a July weekend. Cons: The room is definitely worn with needing new comforters/pillows desparately. Some reviewers are so hard on this hotel--I just don't get it. My room was $159 per night. It was clean and quite. It was decent. It was not luxurious. It was: "yeah, this isn't bad." We have stayed at the Lionhead Inn @ Vail three times. It is a short 5 min walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead - no doubt the most reasonably priced and closest facility to the lifts. If it's location you're looking for, this is not a bad location to be in. It's located a few minutes walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and our favorite apres spot Bar & Yeti's. Also a few steps from the bus stop that takes you to Vail Village for free. If it's luxury, then this isn't the place to be.... more
