We just stayed Memorial weekend for a wedding at the Sundance Lodge. We had booked our room 3 months earlier. When we arrived and checked in, we were asked to move around a half hour later because the clerk made an error and the room was booked. We had to move our own luggage to the second room. They did... We came upon the Sandance Mountain Lodge after buying a Living Social deal, we decied to stay for our Anniversery get away, we were told that they did not have any rooms with one bed king or queen, so we had to stay in a room with two double beds. We figured that we were getting away from the kids... More

My husband and I were in town for a wedding in the area recently, and the hotel they had booked for guests was completely full. I did some searching on the web and came up with the SML. It appeared to be nice for a two night stay based on their website, but I was sadly mistaken. The room was... More

My husband and I came across this hotel by way of a Living Social deal, while planning a quiet weekend away. It is very deceiving from the outside!! We stayed in room 142 for a 2 night stay. Where should I start? They clearly advertise "free wi-fi" but husband and I could not connect from our room. When we called... More

Wow, that was quite an unpleasant stay, what can i say, the place is not for you. Many people absolutely love our place, some don't. The landscape is not "manicured" except for the gazebo area because we are in Colorado and we like it natural. That may look like weeds to you, but to others they are actually wildflowers. Maybe... Not your typical chain motel. Reasonable rates. Only complaint was the noisy bathroom fan. We liked the "lodge" feel to the place and the staff were very friendly. Nice bar and a great breakfast menu. Away from busy, crowded Colorado Springs. The town of Monumnet had quaint shops and eateries. Enjoyed the warmer than unusal weather (80s in late March)

So glad you appreciate the "feel" of the place. Some people get it and some don't. We have many loyal, repeat customers and that feels wonderful. More

Based on the Sundance Mountain Lodge website, we thought this might be a nice place to go to for our anniversary. Boy were we wrong. Let me count the ways. A) It's not a lodge. It's a "converted" former EconoLodge or Motel 6. It's located right next to I-25. We heard highway noise all night long. B) It looks at... More

We are not in the mountains! We have mountain views and we feel like a ski lodge and we are at 7,200' (the highest point on front range) but as our website clearly states: "we are conveniently located on I-25!" We are a clean, unique and artistic property. If you want mountains go to Vail and pay much more than... More

I had the privilege to enjoy this property due to a promotion in place. I came with a group of friends to try the different breweries in the area and also enjoy the amenities in Colorado Spring. It is conveniently located close to the freeway which is a plus for me. Its room are extremely clean and well decorated. Enjoy... More

We stayed at Sundance for two nights while on a road trip of the Colorado area. I liked that Sundance is easily accessible from the interstate and close to Colorado Springs and Denver, has a pretty decent restaurant on site (the breakfast was terrific), and is a great value for the price. As some previous reviewers have mentioned, the website... More

Thanks for the kind words. We are a small independent hotel that has worked very hard to give customers a positive experience. The staff really does care. More

I expected a beautiful mountain lodge. What I got was a motel near the interstate. They paid a REALLY good photographer to shoot photos for their web site. What you see is NOT what you get. As other reviews stated, the lighting was bad and the heater was noisy (room 162). I'm really glad I got the Living Social deal,... More

Thanks for the compliment! I am the owner and the photographer. We pride ourselves in clean rooms, artistic atmosphere and on being a Green hotel. And we have great prices. We are not a chain hotel nor a mountain lodge but sometimes there is a misconception from our name: we are named after a nearby mountain, Sundance Mountain. We have... More

I just returned from a three night stay at this place and it was a charming inexpensive place to stay. I was able to use my money towards many daily activtities done in Colorado Springs. Then I was able to spend my nights in Monument where I had a surprisingly good time. This Hotel is unique because it is set... More
