My grandparents built these cabins when I was a child and I worked at the Call of the Canyon Cabins during summers. Amazingly enough, I found this website and connected with Mary Thompson, the current owner. After 50 years, Mary has created an oasis away from it all, and improved upon the wonderful setting that is the Call of the... More

We arrived at the cabin around 5 PM and were amazed at the beauty of the surroundings. The canyon wall above Chicago Creek was breathtaking. Mary, our gracious host welcomed us and allowed us to take it slow and get acquainted with our cabin. She offered help and was available should we need anything, but we found everything we needed... My husband & I spent 4 days/nights this past week in one of the cabins. Although it wasn't quite what I expected, the cabin is well-equipped with pretty much everything you will need for an enjoyable visit. Mary, the owner, is very nice. I, personally, was looking for real "seclusion" from the hectic pace of life in the city, but... More

Both cabins were very clean and comfortable. The owner of this property is very considerate of your privacy but is more than helpful should you need something. We stayed for three nights and found many interesting sights in this area to visit during the day. Hopefully we will be able to visit again next year, as we all had a... More

Mary, the owner of the cabins, has thought of everything to make your stay relaxed, comfortable, and refreshing. At least this was our experience. Not only is the cabin cozy and warm, but all the materials are provided to create a fire, play games, play in the sauna and the river, etc. etc. This was the perfect romantic getaway for... More

My friend wanted to stay in a 5-star hotel, but I convinced him that to have a "real" Colorado experience we needed to stay in a cabin. My internet search for a "cabin near Denver" came up with Call of the Canyon and it was PERFECT. Especially for a guy who is used to 5-star hotels! It was rustic-yet-modern, immaculate,... More

We arrived at our cozy vintage cabin and made a crackling fire within minutes thanks to the firewood already arranged in the large stone fireplace. Mary (the owner) had not only laid out the fire before our arrival, but had placed numerous simple yet unique and thoughtful touches throughout the two room cabin. It was entertaining simply looking at all... More

I picked another great one! : ) Couldn't ask for a more relaxing weekend in a breathtaking setting. Literally steps outside of the Arapahoe Nat'l forest, this area is as secluded and serene as it gets. I wanted a babbling creek just outside my door to fall asleep to, low and behold, if the creek were any closer, it would... More

My ladyfriend and I have stayed at Call of the Canyon three times in the past three years. The young couple who own this property are very friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay there memorable. It's quiet...private...secluded...the place to be if you need to just let the world go and relax for awhile. It's clean... More
