We had a great room on the 3rd floor, corner. Very quiet. The train station and I70 were across the street but we heard very little train/car noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed us a late check out to coincide with the train departure. The coffee at breakfast was delicious. Snacks and water all day. The lobby... more

It’s fun sometimes when traveling to stay in a place that’s a little different than your standard run-of-the-mill hotel, motel or condo, especially in a place as full of character as Glenwood Springs. Hotel Denver is a historic property (built in 1914) that’s been renovated and updated more than enough to meet today’s standards of comfort and quality. WHAT WAS... more

My husband and I stayed one night here. I wanted to like this hotel more than I did. I enjoyed the fact it was not a cookie cutter hotel. The hotel has some history which makes it fun. The room was very small for the price of about $150. The room was paid for in advance as it required a... more

I had a rate (package - Room with a Brew) confirmation and they decided that what I already paid (one night's stay - package rate) plus taxes was not adequate. They charged me an additional $79.00 which they say is for the package part of the deal - passes and coupons. Which was no where near the $79.00. This charge... more

Stopped here on a road trip, staying in Room 308. This was a great suite, lots of room for two large, antique double sleight beds, plus double sofa bed, dresser, table and chairs, small kitchen, plus ensuite. If you like something a bit different from the corporate style this is great! Floors a bit wonky, furnishings antique and traditional. Very... more

My two grown daughters (20s) flew in from far corners of the country, to do a "girls getaway" 2-day road trip with me from Denver to Glenwood Springs and back to Denver via mountain roads. Our only reservations were for massages at a spa, and the Hotel Denver for one night. I found a coupon on line offering $25 off... more

We traveled to Glenwood Springs on our honeymoon. We stayed in the Penthouse- a beautiful spacious room with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains. The room was lovely, spacious, and relaxing. Things we didn't like: the walls were paper thin (could hear someone in a neighboring room talking on the phone word-for-word). They also put a hold on our... more

first off, we like to travel to retro motels and historic hotels. We are not high maintenance or fuzzy travelers. We roll with things, travel is about adventure and we don't expect everyplace to be a 3 or 4 star hotel. We've stayed in Glenwood a lot (on way to Palisade for Wine Festival), it's a groovy town. Hotel Denver... more

I get so tired of the cookie cutter hotels i go out of my way to find special places. This is one of them. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The rooms are great and the pub next door makes their own beer. What more could you ask for! more

The friendly desk staff at the Hotel Denver made our stay so enjoyable! We walked in with no reservation - they recommended a corner room, which was clean, comfortable, spacious and had great views. (I'm sure reservations are necessary in a busier season!!) The staff recommended restaurants, things to do in the area, and got on the phone to set... more
